| 'Five14' Lights a Fire in Teens |
 The Millennials are the largest unchurched group in the United States. So how do you reach them? Through their peers.
That's why Lutheran Hour Ministries has created five14, a cutting-edge program to help teens be a light in the darkness for their friends who are hurting, searching, and drowning in hopelessness. The name comes from Matthew 5:14, which says, "You are the light of the world."
By engaging teenagers where they are—with training events that encourage social interaction, by speaking to them on their level, and by creating a community through venues they are already using—five14 helps teens step into the unique role God has created for them as His witnesses.
Five14 will inspire your teens to impact the world around them by standing up for Christ instead of settling for what the world around them says. It will help teens reshape their thinking from "What can I get away with?" to "Will this action or word be a reflection of Jesus in my life?" so that they are living as Matthew 5 calls them to live.
Media-intense, with awesome music and entertainment, five14 is just what teens want. And it's just what youth workers need. A director of Christian education from St. Louis recently said, "Five14 is great! It's convenient and ready to use, and I've never seen my teens so excited!"
