Ministry Prayer Needs

  • Blessings upon LHM—Argentina's New Manager
Please ask God to bless Gloria Tolisano in her new leadership role with LHM's Cristo Para Todas Las Naciones (CPTLN) ministry center in Argentina. Pray for continued opportunities for the ministry to share the Gospel with everyone who needs to hear it.
  • Pray for International Directors Victimized in Robberies
Please pray for justice, safety, comfort, and peace of mind for international ministry center directors Paulo Warth (Brazil) and Victor Verruck (Paraguay). In September Warth and his wife Lucia were abducted and robbed but later released unharmed; in October, Warth was robbed again. Also in September, Verruck had his cell phone stolen as he waited for a bus. Pray also that LHM Latin America programs such as Project JOEL will help instill in a new generation the values of honesty and respect for the safety and property of others.
  • Good Looking and Smart—'JCPlayZone' Hits the Mark
Affirmation for hard work is always a nice thing—and something to be thankful for. Recently, Lutheran Hour Ministries' JCPlayZone, www.jcplayzone.com, received accolades for its online presence, winning a 2009 Web Marketing Association Web Award "For Outstanding Achievement in Web Development."

JCPlayZone also continues to get high marks from its target clientele: kids. Lutheran educator Spencer Peregoy, himself an award-winner for excellence in education, wrote, "Congratulations to creators of the JCPlayZone for bringing biblical images and messages to the 21st-century learner! The activities and music encourage kids to spend time in a place where faith messages are given in a creative way."

Please join with us in thanks and praise for kudos and endorsements such as these, and ask God to continue to bless LHM with opportunities to present Christ-centered content and take-away value in discipleship training through its ministry Web sites—from Para El Camino (www.paraelcamino.com) to Woman to Woman (www.womantowomanradio.com).

Nov 14Victory in Adversity
Losing a child is terribly difficult, and everyone deals with their loss in different ways. Hear from Pattie Petty how she and her race car driving husband, Kyle, faced the death of their son by realizing his vision of founding a camp for children with severe disabilities and terminal illnesses.
