Ministry Prayer Needs

  • New Speaker Will Proclaim the Timeless Truth of the Gospel through Various Media
Around the world, people's ability to share information has radically transformed. In many societies, we can communicate with each other—even strangers—almost anywhere, instantaneously, often with the simple click of a button. At Lutheran Hour Ministries, we see our communication tools and strategies change on a regular basis—but as Hebrews 13:8 reminds us, our message remains the same: "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." With this in mind, we earnestly seek God's guidance as we select a Speaker who will communicate clearly and efficiently over a wide range of media and yet present a message rooted in the ageless truth of God's eternal Word.

We invite you to join us in prayer as we seek to follow the Lord's direction in choosing an individual who is adept at sharing a "changeless Christ" through a wide and ever-changing array of communication tools.
  • Praise God for the Visit from Our International Directors
What a blessing it was during July to have 31 directors of our International Ministry centers here in the United States for training and fellowship, as well as for the International Convention of the Int'l LLL in Omaha! Praise God for their safe travel, good health, and opportunities to represent LHM at conventions and congregations across the country. Please join us in praying for God's continued blessings on their ministries around the world.
  • Thank God for Connections with Teens and Leaders at the Youth Gathering
At the 2010 National LCMS Youth Gathering July 17-21 in New Orleans, more than 2,000 teens attended sessions launching five14, LHM's new witnessing-training program for youth, and more than 500 youth and adult leaders stopped by LHM's exhibit booth to participate in the activity of writing notes of encouragement and appreciation to people serving in the Armed Forces. Join us in thanking God for opportunities like this to connect with and involve our church's young people—and join us in boldly asking for even more opportunities!
