Manager, Global Impact Partnership Program

Our International Ministries division manages over thirty international ministry centers in countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. These centers use a wide variety of culturally diverse and appropriate outreach programs to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to their local communities. The Global Impact program partners these international ministry centers with supporters in the United States and Canada. These congregations, groups and individuals support the centers through prayer, financial contributions, and by sending volunteer teams to participate in hands-on service in the countries.

The Global Impact Manager will assist the Director, International Ministries in building and managing the Global Impact program. The manager will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, forming and maintaining relationships with congregations, groups, and individuals who desire to commit to support outreach ministry. Additionally, the manager helps identify individuals that may be able to offer major donations and works with our Ministry Advancement division to accept these gifts. The manager also works directly with our Communications and Ministry Advancement divisions to coordinate and communicate Global Impact program details.

The position will be located in St. Louis, Missouri, with extensive travel to congregations and interested groups throughout the United States and Canada, and with occasional visits to our international ministry centers around the world.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Marketing or fundraising experience, familiarity with charitable giving
  2. Ability to speak to diverse groups and individuals with enthusiasm and energy
  3. Superior communication and writing skills
  4. Willingness to travel extensively
  5. Member of the LCMS preferred
  6. Commitment to continuing education and training
  7. Well organized, with ability to administer programs and plans

TeleCare Specialist
(40 hours per week)

This position in our TeleCare Department involves calling past donors to invite them to renew their support, as well as making thank-you calls to new and existing donors.

Requires good communication skills and the ability to convey ministries in a friendly, positive manner. Must be quick thinking, improvisational, responsive in overcoming reservations, strongly motivated and dependable. Professional telemarketing experience preferred. Minimal computer skills needed.

Workweek runs Monday through Thursday, including at least two evenings (Mon, Tues, or Wed) until 8:30 p.m. Benefits through Concordia Plan Services are included.

Speaker of 'The Lutheran Hour®'

The Board of Governors of the International Lutheran Laymen's League and the Executive Director for Lutheran Hour Ministries invite applicants and nominations for the position of Speaker of The Lutheran Hour®. The Speaker must be a person with a passion for reaching the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of Christ-centered messages through broadcast media and speaking engagements. The Speaker must have a Shepherd's heart for relating and connecting with many fine people who view Lutheran Hour Ministries as an extension of their own ministry, and should be receptive to the expanding possibilities that media and technology offer in Bringing Christ to the Nations—and the Nations to the Church. Candidate must be an ordained clergy member of either the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod or Lutheran Church-Canada who desires to speak boldly of the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
